This 4 tier ivory wedding cake was designed by A-Cakes and my friend asked me to recreate it for her daughters wedding. The deep tiers are vanilla sponge with strawberry jam and vanilla buttercream filling. The thinner tiers are double chocolate sponge with rich chocolate buttercream filling. The drop detail on the deeper tiers is royal icing and finished with a silver ball. Each tier also has diamanté ribbon wrapped around them.
One of my all time favourite cakes as it was made for my best friends engagement party. The two tier cake is bright and colourful and as Pauline’s favourite colour is purple I incorporated lilac and purple. I also added in some silver to tie in with the sparkly initial letters on top and the edible diamonds on the cake board.
